I’m Frank — a teacher and a father of two, and I’m running for Burlington Ward 6 City and Regional Councillor because I believe Burlington can do more for the families who live here.
A little about me
I’m Frank. I’m a teacher and a father of two, and I live right here in Burlington. Teaching keeps me grounded in what matters most: showing up, listening first, and doing what you said you’d do.
Away from the classroom I spend a lot of time doing what neighbours do — volunteering locally, and pushing for the small fixes that make daily life easier. Safer streets. Smarter growth. Parks families can actually use. I’ve learned that none of it is complicated. It just takes someone willing to follow through.
Why I’m running
Ward 6 is Burlington’s largest ward — urban and rural, full of families, schools, and parks. It sees a lot of building, yet too many residents are still waiting on the parks, roads, and recreation that keep pace. I kept hearing the same thing about north Burlington, and I said it out loud:
“Especially in the north side of Burlington, it feels like there is a scarcity mindset and we cannot do more.”
I don’t accept that. Burlington can do more — if we show the plan, publish the numbers, and follow through together.
How I work
People deserve a councillor who treats this as a job, not a title. I’ll read every staff report before every vote, explain what it means in plain English, and get back to you from a ward office within two business days. When I share dollar figures, they’re planning ranges for public discussion — grounded in City plans and open data, not rumours.
“I want to do a job where I know at the end of the day I am making people’s lives better.”
